Every year, activists gather to remember late Kudirat Abiola who was assassinated on the 4th of June, 1996, years after her late husband, MKO Abiola won the presidential election that was later annulled. She was also remembered yesterday for the role she played during the incarceration of her husband by then military ruler, General Sani Abacha.
