Celebrated comedian, Afeez Oyetoro, is expected to stir the scene again when Girlz Hostel, a new sit-com, hits the airwaves next month.
Created by Yinka Babalola but written and co-produced by Lara Tubosun, the new drama showcases the daily experiences of students who live and study outside their campuses.
That it is built on humour is evident in the fact that Oyetoro, who recently rocked the scene with his switch from Etisalat to MTN campaigns, plays the lead role of Baba RSK, an aged caretaker.
The producer says the first 13 episodes provide a ‘mind boggling, yet hilarious comedy’ which displays the exploits of the caretaker.
Also in action in Girlz Hostel are six female students – Mama T (Ifechukwu Achife), Wura (Abiola Kasali), Sidikat (Goodness Emmanuel), Ibinabo (Cynthia Abagwe), Tokunbo (Mary Amakor) and Mercy (Mary-Ann Eziekwe).
